Seeing is learning

You lift your laser pointer again. “It’s here,” you say. But the light flickers on the screen. You try standing on tiptoe to point with your finger. They start raising their hands. What do you do?

When one of your participants asks where the damage is on the simulation, you realize that your explanation of the storm site wasn’t clear. You glance at the interactive panel display on your desk and circle the north end of the bridge on the map. The circle appears simultaneously on the map on the large screen, and you can see your learners nodding. You trace the main road, showing in digital ink which route the emergency crew would take. “Okay, let’s move on,” you say, and proceed with the simulation.
